Cornerstone Christian Academy Chick-fil-A Leader Academy Impact Project for 2022

The Cornerstone Christian Academy Chick-fil-a Leader Academy wants to have a long-lasting impact on Washington County and our surrounding area. The James 1:27 Project began as a project to pack bags filled with necessities, encouragement, and a Bible for children in the foster care system of Washington County. We want to positively affect children who are not as fortunate as others in Virginia. Children put into the foster care system are required to leave everything behind, leaving them only with the clothes on their back. When they are taken in by a family, the family is required to provide all new belongings for the child
In the past year, Chick-fil-a Leader Academy has succeeded in providing 200 bags for children who are put into the foster care system. This year, the Chick-fil-a Leader academy plans to continue their impact on the foster care community by hosting a day-camp where foster kids will feel cared for, be told the gospel message, and have lots of fun! This will also be of help to foster parents, providing a safe place to send their child for the day. This will also give them the opportunity to meet new people and build community within the foster care system
Our goal is to raise $8,000 for this camp. We plan to conclude the project in April. The student body and staff of Cornerstone Christian Academy will gather to prepare and pray for the children attending the James 1:27 Camp.
